🎨🐢 Turtle Power in Art Class! 🐢🎨

There was a little extra excitement in Mrs. Nix’s Art class during a fun show-and-tell moment! Abby Baird and Briley Boyce shared some “turtle power” with their classmates and weren’t shell-fish about spreading a little turtle love.

Moments like these help make the classroom a place where creativity, curiosity, and community come together. Whether creating art or sharing interests, our students continue to make Cascade High School a great place to learn and grow.

Great job, Champions! 👏

🧪🔬 Science in action at Cascade High School! 🔬🧪

Students in Mr. Hrouda’s Chemistry class stepped into the role of forensic scientists during a recent lab investigation. Their mission: determine whether a bottle contained pure distilled water or a mixture such as tap water.

Rather than simply accepting a claim, students relied on measurable scientific evidence. By examining intrinsic properties like density, freezing point, and conductivity, they learned how these characteristics act as the “fingerprints” of matter because they remain constant regardless of sample size.

Through hands-on investigation and critical thinking, students experienced how chemistry plays an important role in real-world forensic science. Great work, Champions! 👏🧑‍🔬
