Coach Carter and Mrs. Smith’s RISE class have been exploring cultures, traditions, and foods from around the world — celebrating what makes each of us unique! 🌎✨
During October and November, students learned about Día de Muertos and shared their own family traditions and favorite foods. The Recipe of the Month was an Easy Pastel de Tres Leches (Three Milk Cake) — starting with a simple box cake mix, each student added their own creative twist in flavor and design! 🎂💡

For the second time, #CascadeHighSchool band brought home the SILVER medal – 2nd Place Division II Band in Tennessee!
Finals were a true test of dedication as #students performed through pouring rain, winds and cold, demonstrating the heart of champions. 🌧️💨❄️ Their perseverance resulted in an unforgettable performance!

Honoring Ed Gray - a Legacy of Learning and Leadership
Today, we remember and honor the life of Mr. Ed Gray, a remarkable educator and leader who dedicated more than 45 years to education, including Bedford County Schools. From teacher to principal, supervisor, assistant superintendent, and finally superintendent, he devoted his entire career to nurturing students, supporting educators and strengthening our community.
Education wasn’t just his profession — it was his passion and life’s calling. His commitment to excellence, compassion for others, and vision for the future of our schools left an enduring mark on countless lives. Though he retired in 2011, his influence continues to be felt by many because of his leadership.
Rest in peace, Mr. Gray, and thank you for your lifetime of service and dedication.
