Sandy Sorrells Bio

It is always exciting to begin a new school year. Cascade High School is fortunate to have the support of this community and its shared commitment to our success. Our staff and students display the type of commitment to hard work and excellence that make our school community proud. I am encouraged when I see our parents, students, school, and community work together to ensure success.

I have been in education for 27 years. I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. I then attended Tennessee State University to obtain a Master’s degree and then a Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision.  I began my career teaching in Lincoln County where I remained for seven years before moving into a supervisory role. In 2010, I took the position of Assistant Principal and Curriculum Coordinator at Lincoln County High School. I am now entering my second year as Principal at Cascade High.

My husband, Jacob, is also a lifelong educator. We have four amazing children. Abby is a 2nd Lt. in the United States Air Force where she is currently in pilot training. Hannah and Jake are both seniors in college, and Hank is beginning his first year of college. We enjoy quiet weekends on the farm and any time we can spend with our family.
