About Mrs. Yates!

Hello!  I teach Geometry and Honors Geometry at Cascade High School - I have taught here since fall of 2006!  I graduated college from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (GO VOLS!) and I began my teaching career in Smyrna, Georgia.  After teaching for four years there, I moved back to Tennessee and taught for 11 years at Smyrna High School in Rutherford County before coming to Bedford County.  I have taught many different math classes, but Geometry is my favorite to teach.  I am also the teacher of record for the Online Geometry course for Bedford County Schools.

I have had four kids go through Cascade Schools, I'm a former band mom and FFA mom, and I now have two of my five (almost 6!) grandchildren at Cascade Elementary School, and my daughter teaches 8th grade ELA at Cascade Middle School!  While we are definitely an orange and black household, my husband brings in a little blue as he teaches 5th grade at Cartwright Elementary!
