🌸 Spring at Cascade High School is right around the corner! 🌸

Spring is one of the busiest and most exciting times of the year for our students. From academic celebrations and athletic events to banquets, performances, and special school traditions, the calendar is filling up quickly!

We encourage families to keep an eye on upcoming dates and, when possible, plan schedules around these important moments. These events create lasting memories and give our students the chance to celebrate their hard work, talents, and achievements.

Thank you for continuing to support our students and helping make these experiences special for them. We look forward to seeing our Champion families at many of our spring events! 🌼📣

📚 Cascade High School EOC Testing is Approaching!✏️

Our End of Course (EOC) testing period will begin soon, and we want all of our Champions ready to do their very best! These tests are an important opportunity for students to show what they have learned throughout the year.

Students can help set themselves up for success by:
✅ Being at school and on time each day of testing
✅ Getting a good night’s rest the night before
✅ Eating a healthy breakfast before coming to school
✅ Bringing a positive attitude and doing their best

Attendance during testing is extremely important, so please help us ensure students are present and prepared. We appreciate the support of our Cascade families as we work together to help our students succeed!

Let’s finish the year strong, Champions!

EOC Testing Schedule for Cascade High School
Recently, Culinary Arts III students from #CascadeHighSchool have been diving into the world of beef by exploring different cuts, what makes them tender and juicy and putting their skills to the test by cooking steaks ranging from budget-friendly to premium cuts. The best part? A class tasting where #students compared texture and flavor while learning firsthand what makes each cut unique! 🥩

Meanwhile, Culinary Arts II students have been mixing cooking with science in a deliciously fun way! 🧪🥕 Through hands-on experiments, students explored how pH affects food by cooking vegetables in neutral, acidic and basic solutions and the colorful results were amazing!

From mastering culinary techniques to discovering the science behind food, students are building real-world skills through creativity, curiosity and collaboration every day. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Summer Meals Program Flyer
The Cascade High School Art Club recently enjoyed an inspiring trip to the Square in Shelbyville, where students explored the rich architecture, history, and artistic opportunities right in their own community.

Students began the day by sitting on the historic courthouse steps, sketching the surrounding buildings while Carol Roberts shared the fascinating history of the courthouse and downtown square. They also toured inside the courthouse, viewing the old courtroom and the beautiful inlay of the Bedford County map on the floor.

The group continued their adventure with visits to the old stone prison, The Fly Arts Center, and the Capri Theater. Fly President Jody Barnes Turner provided a special tour of the theater, attic, gallery, and museum, while Kim Green led students through the Capri Theater, including the projection room.

Lunch was enjoyed under the trees at Main and McGrew, once home to the old post office and library. Cole Krieg even opened the popcorn stand on the square and treated everyone to popcorn. The club also stopped by Arty All the Time, where Angie Jackson shared the story of her building and business.

This memorable trip opened students’ eyes to the many hidden gems, creative spaces, and historical treasures available right around the square—blending art, history, and community into an unforgettable learning experience.
