2024-25 Reward Schools

Bedford County Schools is proud to announce that Eakin Elementary, East Side Elementary, and Cascade High School have been named Reward Schools for the 2024-25 school year by the Tennessee Department of Education.

Reward School status is awarded to schools that demonstrate high performance and/or significant improvement across key indicators, including academic achievement, growth, attendance, graduation rates, and success across all student groups. This year, 459 Tennessee schools earned the designation.

Bedford County Schools also maintained its district-level distinction of “Advancing.” Districts designated as Advancing received an overall score equal to or greater than 2.1 but less than 3.1, a recognition shared by 99 districts statewide. Additionally, 14 districts were designated Exemplary, the highest distinction, reserved for districts earning an overall score equal to or greater than 3.1.

“We applaud the dedication of our teachers, staff, students, and families,” said Superintendent [Insert Superintendent’s Name]. “Maintaining our Advancing designation — along with celebrating three Reward Schools — highlights the hard work and commitment of our entire district community. We are incredibly proud of Eakin, East Side and Cascade for this achievement.”
