Cascade High School's Jeremy Bankston Named 2024-2025 TSSAA Girls Golf Coach of the Year
Bell Buckle, TN — Cascade High School is proud to announce that Girls Golf Coach Jeremy Bankston has been named the 2024-2025 TSSAA Girls Golf Coach of the Year. This prestigious honor comes on the heels of an outstanding season in which Coach Bankston led the Cascade Lady Champions to the 2024 TSSAA Girls Golf Team State Championship.
This state title marks a historic achievement for Cascade High School and reflects Coach Bankston's dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence both on and off the course. Under his guidance, the team displayed exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the season.
“Coach Bankston has set the standard for what it means to be a leader and mentor,” said Sandy Sorrells, principal of Cascade High School. “His passion for the sport and investment in our student-athletes have elevated the entire golf program. This recognition is well-deserved.”
Coach Bankston has served as the head coach of the golf team for 6 years, consistently fostering a culture of hard work, integrity, and personal growth. His coaching philosophy extends beyond the game, emphasizing academics, character development, and teamwork.
The TSSAA Coach of the Year award is given annually to coaches who demonstrate outstanding coaching performance and positively impact student-athletes across the state of Tennessee.
